Zope/plone community is losing a critical actor. Personally, I will miss your discreet presence at sprints and conferences where I enjoyed chatting or working with you.

I sincerely hope I will have the chance to meet you again somewhere on our planet.

Best of luck for your new endeavor and once more many many thanks for all your contributions so far. And maybe Mozilla isn't that far away from the Python/Zope/Plone camp - or at least from whatever this will turn into over time (Pyramid???). From own experience I can tell that you sometimes get back to communities that you think you have left long ago only to realize that you've never been away really.

Really sad to hear that you are focusing on other technologies from now on, I hope that you will still contribute to Zope and Plone in the future, and you get do it for pleasure and out of enthusiasm...
( Hopefully someday you will get to work on cool new things and then you will try to bring some of them to the Zope and Plone world :) )
Again thank you for everything you have done so far, looking forward as well to your next chapter and as I've said maybe someday Zope and Plone will be in another chapter of your life.

P.S. I really hope Martin Aspeli won't feel the same way in the near future, it would be a major loss to see so many good people leave the Zope and Plone ecosistem.

Wow! Well I can echo Andreas' comment. Plone an Zope really do owe a lot to you. Few people I know are able to dig quite so deep into the guts of Zope and Plone to squeeze yet more performance out of them.

Plone, Zope and Jarn are losing an amazingly talented developer. But all I can say is that Mozilla code is about to get FAST!

Hope all goes well, and hope you still stick your head in to the Plone community now and then.

Thanks a lot for your huge efforts and energy that you spent over almost a decade into Zope and Plone. Plone would not be in the good shape as it is right now without you. The community owes you more than just a simple thank you. Personally I enjoyed working with you during my time as Zope release manager and it can understand that energy and focus changes after a decade of dedicated work within an open-source project.

Endings are just beginnings...so it's time to move on and focus on new goals and projects.
